Lilith Archetype

Lilith Archetype

The Lilith archetype brings female empowerment and revolution, as well as triggering indignation with certain situations that aim to diminish or limit you.

The Lilith archetype attracts female empowerment, transmitting a strength that brings movement to your life, making you walk with your head held high and not be submissive to anyone.

Meaning of Lilith in the Bible

In Genesis 1:27 of the Bible, it reads: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” This brings the understanding that there was a woman before Eve, and that she and Adam were created at the same time. This woman was known as Lilith.

Now in Genesis 2:23 it reads: “The man said (in this case Adam): ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man.'” Here, referring to Eve, who was generated from Adam’s rib.

During her time with Adam, Lilith began to be treated in a certain way that made her feel diminished and uncomfortable, as she did not accept being submissive to Adam. After all, both were created from the same material and in the image and likeness of God, so they should have the same rights. This dissatisfaction led her to leave paradise, although some say she was expelled.

Meaning of Lilith in Mythology

Lilith was once considered a Goddess and was worshiped in Babylon and Mesopotamia. She also appears in Jewish mythology, but in Islamic beliefs, she is represented as a demon.

According to mythology, after the creation of Eve, Lilith returned as the serpent and offered her the apple. This act can be interpreted as revenge, as it led Eve to eat from the forbidden fruit, but some say her intention was to free Eve so that she would no longer be submissive.

Understand that this is an archetype that involves a lot of history and mythology. To activate it, look for an image with which you identify, as there are some beautiful and others not so much.
